We are pleased to invite you to the thematic panel entitled “Innovations in the Context of Human-Centred Development,” which will be held as part of the 19th Slovenian Social Science Conference. The panel will bring together researchers and scholars to discuss contemporary social challenges and innovative approaches to fostering inclusive and sustainable human-centred development.
Through eight engaging and thought-provoking presentations, participants will gain valuable insights into questions of belonging, identity, and social cohesion in increasingly divided societies. The panel will explore how social, political, and cultural transformations shape collective identities and influence the dynamics of inclusion and exclusion in modern communities.
As part of the programme, the Chair’s scientific and research activities will be presented by the Head of the Chair, Prof. Dr. Tea Golob, who will provide an overview of the Chair’s ongoing projects, academic contributions, and future research directions. In addition, Prof. Dr. Tea Golob will present the findings and results of study “The Potentials and Threats of Rising Collectivism,” co-authored with Prof. M. Makarovič. The presentation will address the growing relevance of collectivist tendencies in contemporary societies, highlighting both their integrative potential and the challenges they may pose for democratic values, individual autonomy, and social development.
We warmly welcome you to join us for this stimulating academic discussion and exchange of ideas.
